Dani Kwateng is a journalist, editor, entrepreneur, and educator whose career has been dedicated to amplifying style, art, and cultural stories of the African diaspora. She's worked in media for over a decade, covering fashion designers, runway trends, history, and changemakers in the industry.

After earning her degree in print journalism and fashion merchandising from Howard University, Dani attended Columbia University's coveted Publishing Course. There, she refined her skills as a reporter and learned the art of authentic, authoritative storytelling.

Dani has worked in various editorial capacities at Glamour Magazine, People StyleWatch, StyleBlazer.com, Essence Magazine, and VICE. She's written for many publications, including CULTURED, Allure, SELF, and The Huffington Post. She’s also appeared on Good Morning America and The Zerlina Maxwell Show, to discuss major cultural moments.
Her passion for African fashion was the catalyst behind starting The Volta, an award-winning e-commerce shop dedicated to highlighting Black artisans. As an educator, Dani has taught at IED in Florence as a Creative Direction Mentor — she's also done numerous speaking engagements over the years for places like Parsons, CUNY, Harvard University, NYU, and Apple.

In addition to her media and fashion work, Dani has collaborated with lifestyle businesses in Accra and New York to appeal to Millennial and Gen Z consumers. Currently, Dani is the executive editor of Teen Vogue
